Dangers of Alcohol

Another cause of teenage drinking is escape from stress of school if they are overwhelmed with work or that they get really worried over slipping grades and that they just need to relax. what most teenagers do not know is that it really only makes things worse. Many teens drink because of peer pressure or just to fit in. Kids may think that if they drink then they will fit in with the crowd and become more popular. Kids spend most of their spare time partying. Most of the people who do not drink usually get pressured just so the drunk people can have something to talk about. Most people think that in small towns like Dimmitt, there is not anything to do, except to drink and party. In Dimmitt we do not have anywhere to go to keep us from doing bad stuff. Usually going to a party is the only exciting thing that goes on in Dimmitt. At school you can tell who drinks alot and who doesnt. In all of my classes I have a guy that drinks almost everyday in town. He never has any of his homework and projects done and when his teachers ask him about it he says he did not know how to do it. His friends miss school alot because they are always hungover. I guess they all think this makes them look cool, but it does"nt. We always tell him that he needs to get his act together but he always blames everyone else on his mistakes. .
             Another thing that alcohol can do is get you in trouble with the law. I got a MIC when i was a freshman and I had alot of consequences because of that. I got my license taken away, before i had even gotten it. I also had to pay a huge fine , do community service and also go to A A classes. In addition to all of those things, I was grounded for what seemed like forever. I guess that did not teach me a lesson. Now my senior year came. I went out and partied which was dumb of me but now I have consequences to pay again. I have to pay a fine, write this essay, and go to A A classes.
