Fanny Crosby was born on March 24, 1820,in south east Putman county, New York, From the age of six weeks she was blind, for sometime while Fanny was still a baby her eyesight was normal, but when she was only six weeks old she got sick with a cold causing inflamation in her eyes. The family did know what to do so they called the family Doctor, He was not home at the time so instead they called a doctor that they did not know. The doctor came and put hot poultices in Fanny's eyes and lost her eyesight forever, When the Crosby's finely started to realize what had happen the doctor was made to leave the town. For many years the Crosby's look for a cure for Fanny's blindness.
She was inspired by the achievements's of a blind sculptor, Fanny finely realized she could do anything a person who had eyesight could. Fanny was a happy child she did not look for people who would give her pit cause she was blind. During her child hood she discovered she had a talent for writing songs and poems, all in all she wrought over eight thousand songs that are still famous today. In 1905 Fanny was giving a speech at a church gathering Miss Crosby received many tributes in her eighty fifth year.
Friday morning Feburary,12,1915 Fanny Crosby died. Needless to say Fanny Crosby went home she was a morale person and an example to everyone that with God anything is possible.
